You are missing the fact that Warner has only been a pitcher for 3 years. Wash put him in a terrible situation in his ML debut and predictibly got shelled. After that however, he was VERY solid. Give him some time and you will grow to love him.

Plus, the dude has an amazing afro.

Would somebody explain Warner Madrigal to me.

Last year my stomach would churn whenever he came in. Seriously, no lead was safe when he came in.

His ERA is now approaching twelve! So he seems to be on the same track for a repeat performance.

Why does everyone seem to think that they can "fix" him?

Clearly I am missing something here.

For those wondering about 3B depth, first of all it's probably not something that anyone needs to be concerned about.

But if MY were to go down for an extended period of time, I think German Duran would be the guy to get the playing time. He's a more legitimate prospect than Metcalf.

As for me ... Benson is on a short leash ... but he's earned the spot, and the team is potentially more solid with Feldman in the pen. Mendoza has exhausted his chances, IMO, and that ship has sailed ... and I'm almost to that point with Gabbard ... Cat deserves a shot with a team that can use him, if we're hell-bent on keeping the player fka Andruw Jones instead ... glad I'm not having to make these decisions ...

i dont have a problem with Benson getting into the rotation. If he can get back to his old form, he's a quality 5th starter and will likely provide a better ERA than Feldman in that spot. Of course, he's injury prone and unlikely to pitch a whole season, but then we should be able to use Feldman or even Holland at that point to fill in.

Based on reports earlier this week the rotation would be Millwood, Padilla, Bensen, McCarthy and Harrison. It could be worse.

Out of all those I thought Mendoza showed a little something, but come on, these guys CAN'T keep turning out to be Armando Galarraga... right? Kris Benson's WAY better... right?

JustSaying I understand where your coming from. Benson has had a good showing this spring and if it works out then Great. Eventhough Feldman came out of the bullpen last season he was about the only damn starting pitcher who looked like he wanted a starting job. Maybe last season was a bad season to evaluate Ranger pitching, but Feldman despite his record looked like he could be this teams No. 4 or 5.
