Tough Times For Dallas Stars’ Coaching Alumni

Bob Gainey’s Montreal Canadiens are out in four straight, that after losing the last four games of the regular season to drop into the No. 8 spot opposite the first-place Boston Bruins. Who are coached by Claude Julien, banished from Montreal by Gainey three years ago. And it got ugly at Bell Centre late and afterward.

In Columbus, Ken Hitchcock’s seventh-seeded Blue Jackets will try to stave off a sweep by Detroit tonight at home. The Red Wings thus far have put on a first-round clinic against young netminder Steve Mason.
