This is why it pays to get in on the old live blog action. Last night, we speculated that Joaquin Arias might join the club if 3B Michael Young needed a day or two to take care of his sore lower back. Presto, change-o, comes word this afternoon that Arias is with the club and OF Greg Golson has been sent back to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Arias gives the Rangers some extra infield insurance for the next couple of days, but will almost certainly be sent back to the minors on Tuesday if, as expected, CF Josh Hamilton is activated.
Now, about the live blog: We are going to take a night off of actual activity. What I am going to do is put up the homer pool here shortly, after the lineups are posted, and then I will kind of create a do-it-yourself live blog entry. I’ll put up a post before the 6:05 p.m. first pitch to give y’all the opportunity to converse with one another throughout the night. But I’m giving my tired bones a one-night rest. You don’t need me for one night. You guys had a pretty lively conversation by yourselves yesterday.
Soooooo, are you gonna take in a Ballgame on your night off? Rhetorical, Nada!
OH NOES, a rudderless ship!
but if we play small ball and let our leaders take the helm, i bet we’ll make it. teamwork, people!
