Rangers Turn Triple Play; Charity Event Photos

For those so inclined, here are some photos from the Rangers’ Triple Play charity event Sunday night at the Hilton Anatole. According to sources, a good time was had by all and much money was raised for charity. And, of course, the rookies were made to sing for their dinner.

Marlon Byrd stares down his wife, Andrea, in "Battle of the Sexes." Just like the Angels didn‚t intimidate the Rangers, the husbands did not intimidate the wives. As always, the women were right more often than the men. The wives won.

A scene you rarely see: Hamilton stumped.

Ashley Saltalamacchia answers a question in "Battle of the Sexes," as the better half team of Cristina Barbosa (Michael Young's wife), Tess Kinsler and Andrea Byrd look on. For some reason, Michael Young backs away, awkwardly.

A rookie tradition: Chris Davis (left), Matt Harrison, Elvis Andrus, Taylor Teagarden and Derek Holland belt out "Afternoon Delight." Even though Davis and Harrison aren‚t technically rookies, they have less than a full year of experience and are subject to the same abuse as a rookie.

The rookies continue to serenade with soft rock; Elvis Andrus shakes his maracas.

A rare serious moment as Michael Young, the infield team captain, and Josh Hamilton, of the outfield, get set to play 'Fielder's Feud."

Outfielders celebrate a correct answer on their way to winning the "Fielder's Feud," for the third time in five years.

Hank Blalock has either given an off-the-wall answer or he is really down on Eric Nadel's tuxedo.

is it bad that i’m also more interested in pics of wives? i’m interested to see what kind of girls these ballplayers can pull down. i’m turning into a WAG follower like in England!!
