Road To Arlington: Rangers Minor League Report (6/13)

Triple-A: Oklahoma City 6 @ New Orleans 4

RHP Tommy Hunter (2-2; 4.34) gave up back-to-back solo shots to open the second inning, but otherwise scattered just five other hits and walked one in seven innings, fanning six to get his second PCL win of the season.

1B Royce Huffman homered in a 2-for-3 outing to drive in a pair of runs and LF Casey Benjamin hit a solo shot for his only hit in four trips. C Max Ramirez had a two-run single for his only hit in five trips and CF Julio Borbon went 1-for-5 from the top of the order.

Double-A: @ San Antonio 4, Frisco 0

Though they struck out just once all night, the RoughRiders managed a mere four singles and drew only one walk while being whitewashed by the Missions. LHP Mike Kirkman (1-2; 4.70) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out five.

Advanced-A: Bakersfield 6 @ Rancho Cucamonga 3

LHP Richard Bleier (3-4; 5.01) went seven, giving up three runs, two earned, on four hits and a walk while punching out four.

3B Dave Stoneburner went 3-for-5 with a double and scored twice from the top of the order while RF Aja Barto hit a two-run bomb for his second Cal League hit in 16 tries since being assigned earlier in the week.

Class-A: @ West Virginia 1, Hickory 0

The Crawdads got yet another sturdy effort from 19 year old RHP Carlos Pimentel (3-3; 2.97) who held the Power to a run on six hits and no walks in five innings before turning the ball over to 2007 supplemental first rounder RHP Neil Ramirez who was making his second appearance of the year. After a train wreck debut earlier in the week, Ramirez dealt 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk, fanning a pair.

C Leonel “Macumba” De Los Santos (.239 / .256 / .310) went 1-for-3 and drilled a baserunner leading off of first base.
