When you consider how bad the bullpen was the first few weeks of the season, the idea that we haven't blown a ninth inning lead or that we rank so high in save percentage simply floors me. Have we ever had numbers like that?

Every time I see Blalock in the lineup I sigh a sigh of defeat as I have zero faith in his ability to do anything......his defense at first is lacking, he can't play third, so what in hell can he do for $6 million.........not a lot.........let him become a free agent and leave but we won't even get a draft pick for his worn out body........

Dear Hank..you would be in the lineup every day except you are doing your usual. ie swinging at anything near the strike zone and trying to pull every pitch instead of hitting the ball the opposite way and taking pitches NOT in the strike zone. You also don't hit right handers and better than left handers so just be glad you are making 8 mill because next year you will not be. JB

Blalock is not hitting. Too bad, would have been nice to use him as a trade chip... still might, but returns for him will me negligable. Still when Hamilton comes back, I am assuming he will see time in right field and at DH. That means Hanks time probably is further deminished. Ron Washington, please don't put Hamilton back in center. We need to increase our chances of keeping him healthy.

@evan
Glad to see you gave Salty props for all the 100 degree catching duty. He looked woozy at the plate though, didn't he?

What the heck is going on with Michael Young at third? Why is he diving and trying to play everything off to his side? He should have had that ball that Blanks hit.

Hank doesn't have a clue. He is the biggest waste of six million dollars in baseball.

"It’s hard on me when I’m not in the lineup and we lose. I hate it because I feel like there are things that I could do to help the team."

@Blalock -- Its the things you do to contribute to the losses( .293 OBP at DH!) that are hard on me. Of course you are not in the lineup! Look in the mirror. You are a DH. Hit or don't expect to play.

@Evan-- thanks for the reporting on Duran. My favorite story in the organization, I'm still hoping for a happy ending.
