This is why I oppose trading minor league (especially AAA) talent for rental players after the All Star break. Never know when who and when the team is going to need to fill a gap. Even the Rangers with one of the best minor league organizations have just had to "grin and bear it" through Davis's strikeout streak. Clearly organizational depth is critical to any MLB team’s success. the season is very long and injuries are always have to be factored in.
