What A Night: Watch Rangers With Rusty Greer, Question Mike Bascik, Eat Nachos, Sip Margaritas

pappasitosSorry for the last minute notice, but since I don’t do Cleveland (don’t ask), I thought it would be most excellent to get together with some of my closest Cornerian friends for a little watching of the Rangers-Cleveland Indians game. And just like that, some folks made it happen. Here’s the plan: I’m going to be at Pappasitos in Dallas (On Lombardy Lane, Near I35-E and Northwest Highway) for Wednesday’s Rangers-Indians game. First pitch is at 6:05 p.m., but I’ll dipping into the salsa, queso and guacamole around 5:30.

Pappasitos has a 64-inch big screen TV with sound in an air-conditioned room for us to watch the game – and you can even watch the hard work that goes into The Depot every night live. At about 7, this guy I know named Thurman Clyde Greer – I call him Rusty – is going to show up. Other former Rangers such as Ticket producer/host Mike Bacsik, and 1970s-era guys Ken Suarez and Rich Hand will also stop by over the course of the game. And you never know, another guy or two might pop in.

Also, Pappasitos has Half-Price Fajitas for Two from 5 p.m. to close on Wednesday. So, bring a date or a pal or, if you are like me, just eat for two. Think about it: You can watch the Rangers, eat cheap, meet Rusty Greer and hang out with me. Well, three out of four ain’t bad. Hope to see you on Wednesday.     Man, sure hope this kind of thing goes on next summer. I’ve got one more year of work here in Abilene…then its off to DFW for a life of fun and Ranger games

    Evan I was at your last event with Rangers in Arlington it was fun got a bunch of autographs. I never did get my free appitizer as I was promised though. I’ll be at this one on Wed. Can you hook me up with it this time. Will they be signing for the fans? Looking forward to Wed. night now.

    So pissed. Rusty is my hero and favorite Ranger ever, so thanks for doing this the week I am stuck in he’ll (Atlanta) for business…it’s okay though; this is such an awesome event!

    Maybe if u would not sit at the tunnell at the bsllpark or the god morning texas studio and get a job like the rest of us you woul dhave food it is pretty pathetic that a 50 year old man doesn’t work and live off of old people what kind of society is this when autographs are more important that living a regular life jus tmy opinion guys like you is why the social seciurty system is going bankrupt because at 63 you will collec tbut not have paid a dime

    rusty greer……..the very definition of 110%……..it hurts just thinking about those wall collisions………then wilkpedia corrected my use of the word as a deflection………it still hurts………..

    Who are you john strauch? I don’t know you. So how can you know me or my whole life. You need to mind your own business and stop worring about my life. So what if I hang out at GMT and the tunnel often. Is it any of your business? I don’t think so. I pay bills same as everyone else. I worked many years. I’ve paid into S.S. and I pay taxes same as everyone else. I just don’t kiss a boss’s ass like you any more. I don’t have to I’m self-employed because I invested. I don’t know who, but someone posted this (I need free food because I am unemployed and still live with my parents).Someone is screwing around with my name on here. I sure didn’t post it. I help take care of my parents so what of it? I don’t need free food. Evan had asked me to remind him at the next event that’s all I was doing.
