Ian Kinsler Plays Seven For Frisco

In his first game of what should be a two-day rehab assignment, 2B Ian Kinsler played seven innings for Double-A Frisco in a 10-9 loss to Tulsa. He was 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. He was replaced by Renny Osuna, but not due to injury. According to an email from GM Jon Daniels, there were no health issues.

He is expected to play again on Thursday and would likely be activated for Friday’s game when the Rangers return home to Arlington.

Hopefully he comes back refreshed; this team could use a big offensive spark.

If Kinsler and Hamilton catch fire and finish the season strong, this is a playoff team.

Hopefully he’ll regain his April form for the last two months. If he comes back hitting like he did in May-July then we’re better off with Omar playing 2nd!

Any word on if the rangers were the ones to put a claim on sheffield?

I heard Kinslers ABs were HBP, W, and 2 popups on a big uppercut swing. Unfortunately that doesn’t sound like his April form, that sounds like his July form.

Is it possible t extend his rehab to include rehabbing (Is that a word?) his hitting as well?

Just a thought after watching Omar playing 2B and seeing Omar’s hitting. Man I loved that bunt last night.
