Rangers Send INF Jose Vallejo to Houston

Don’t really have much more than that. Vallejo cleared trade waivers and will join the Houston organization. The Rangers sent RHP Matt Nevarez to Houston earlier in the week.

    Bummer! I was pretty high on Vallejo despite his struggles this year.

    Was Vallejo a “player to be named” in the Pudge trade with Houston?

    @Brett in SD: Yes. He was the “player to be named,” also, the Rangers must send another player to Houston if the Rangers make the playoffs

    Bonanza for the Astros. First they get Duran on waivers, then pick up Nevarez and Vallejo. For a system as thin as theirs all 3 of these guys probably see the big leagues at some point.
