There's so much competition for that No. 1 pick it's crazy. St. Louis, Tampa, KC, Oakland, Cleveland, Miami, maybe Washington, Carolina. It's saying something when the Lions and winless Titans might not even be in the bottom quartile of teams.

TB with a backup QB almost beat Wash (no great team either) on the road. KC and Oakland are both worse than TB in my opinion.

Really wish Romo could just mentally tell the critics to f$*k off and just play football!

I have a strong feeling that next week everyone will be waiting to hear if Garrett will be named interim coach for the rest of the year considering how the boys lost to a horrible team.

That said, even if they do squeak out a win, I see them going 4-8 the rest of the way.

@gabbo - You know, that is a fair point. Tampa is awful, too. That would be quite a Toilet Bowl.

I've never seen a fan/media base push the panic button so fast and hard after two last possession losses to undefeated teams.

By the overreaction in this town, you'd think they Cowboys were undefeated and lost every game 44-6.

There is room for improvement, especially on the offensive side of the ball. But let's not lower the lifeboats and sound the S.O.S's just yet.

Of course, knowing the fan base in the metroplex - anything less than a 25 point win will be seen as a failure. The likely 24-13 type win will still have every on up in arms.

BTW Bob, I have to respectfully disagree. The Bucs are likely the worst team they will play all year.

Really nice write up, Bob. I totally agree that a loss should = a locker room firing, but I'm torn because as much as I think Wade needs to go, I'd hate to lose Fake Wade on Monday mornings. That is the definition of stop-down radio.
If Wade exits stage left, Jerrah better send that Ivy League "genius" and his red zone passing game with him. Romo has totally regressed under him and to get rid of Romo would set this thing back five years, maybe more..
