Great analysis - and love the video clips to show it off.

Really does put the commentators to shame - either Troy or a qualified play-by-play guy would have seen the unbalanced line on those 2 plays above - but not a mention.

Sunday nights used be a day for the mute button, but I would lay odds one of Jaws or Chuckie would have picked this up.

Another 3TE theory is simply it stresses defense gap control, with a two-back look you have 6 gaps tackle to tackle, with two TE's ends you have 8 gaps, if its a one gap defense (one man, one gap) you stress the defense, there will be a gap to run through somewhere. A third TE creates a match-up issue where a fullback is sure to fall to a LB a Third TE can confuse the defense as to who is the lead blocker is or might draw a Safety from his run responsibility.

hahahaha, the disclaimer kinda exposes your own insecurity about these mammoth posts (the anti blog post as I call it) I'm not arguing that your info is good, just that you figure out what a "blog" is and post accordingly, unless of course Wick has some company wide (this is how we do it) memo floating around

Garrett prefers a 3rd TE to a FB Theory --

I think he does this because if Romo wants to check out of those runs he now has a more reliable receiveing threat in John Phillips.

Anderson has become a solid blocker, but he's still terrible as a pass receiving threat.

Because the Falcons are a smaller defensive who moves around a lot I think Romo just stayed with the runs.

But later in the season when we go against more 4-3 defenses who can get pressure with their fronts I think Romo may audible into some quick passes for Phillips.

I remember seeing Phillips look pretty good in TC and in the preseason games when catching the football.

That's my theory.

Great job again Bob&Co. Quick question: Doesn't it seem like Roy Williams is also getting covered by a safety and a corner on the unbalanced line play? Looks like a cover-2 setup with Roy's Safety edging a little closer in help coverage.
