Andrew,
what country do we live in where opposing points of view are met with absurd derision? As to LSB, while posters there are typically informed they do not typically embrace outside the echo chamber thought. Their right to do so.

The fact is that Josey Wales and I are 100% diametrically opposed in our views concerning Daniels, payroll, and the current state of the Rangers organization. We've never had a cross exchange, ever.

Be open minded and respectful,- receive it in return. Your post says much more about you than it does JW.

Josey Wales is one of the dumbest minds in DFW sports blogs. You sit on your high horse and judge, and then quote bs and misguided stats to "prove" your point. No one likes you over at LSB, no one listens to you, and if you were hit by a train, no one would care

JD has done a masterful job of rebuilding the Rangers' front office, scouting, and farm systems. He is on the verge of long term on-field success. 2010 would be too soon for him to move to a bigger market. Check back in 2-3 years.

I'm not sure JD makes it thru 2010 in Texas and he would get killed by the NY media if he was GM of the Mets.

Does anyone even read D magazine? I thought it was basically a greensheet for doctors, lawyers, and realestate agents to write checks so they are in it.

Daniels certainly is a top tier talent. I'm sure he would be on a short list for any opening, were he available. When he oversees the Rangers return back to the playoffs, he will be able to set his market. Nothing is guaranteed but there's a lot to like with where the baseball operation is today.
